Museums and memorial houses of Vadu Izei

Vasile Kazar (1913-1998) was the most important drawing and sketching artist from Maramures and one of the most influential Romanian artists in the 20th century. The museum is sheltered in an XVIII century wooden house, former summer residence of Vasile Kazar. It holds a collection of textiles, tools and objects specific to a traditional maramures household.
